Reduces wrinkles without irritation:Bakuchiol is the plant-based answer to retinol: In active ingredient research, bakuchiol shows a comparable effect against wrinkles and skin irregularities – with significantly better tolerability. Ideal for skin that wants results but cannot tolerate irritation.

Scientific studies confirm:

Bakuchiol:A randomized, double-blind 12-week study with 44 participants (Dhaliwal et al.,British Journal of Dermatology, 2019) directly compared bakuchiol with retinol. Result: Both active ingredients reduced wrinkles and hyperpigmentation to a statistically comparable extent – however, the retinol group reported significantly more skin flaking and stinging. A 2024 analysis of 15 clinical studies published in theJournal of Drugs in Dermatologyconfirmed this advantage for skin aging, blemishes, and pigment spots.

Beef Tallow:Grass-fed beef tallow consists predominantly of oleic, palmitic, and stearic acid – the same three fatty acids that make up most of human skin fat (sebum). Stearic acid is considered particularly relevant in skin barrier research because it uses the body's own enzyme CerS4 as a building block for the skin's own ceramides, a central component of the skin barrier. This similarity is why beef tallow integrates well into the natural lipid structure of the skin.
